Deacon Thomas learned survival on the rough, sun-scorched streets of Orlando, balancing gang warfare with the brutal discipline of the boxing ring. The gym was the only place he could burn off his toxic rage. By his mid-twenties, he ran his own crew until a lieutenant betrayed him, leaving him with three bullet holes in his chest.
He died on the pavement. When doctors revived him, the cold void he experienced haunted him so deeply that he abandoned the streets for the Church, eventually becoming an ordained deacon.
Five years ago, arrived to take over the parish.
Austere, commanding, and only holding evening Masses, Gabriel seemed to Thomas like the absolute gold standard of faith. What Thomas mistook for divine grace was actually the terrifying aura of Clan Lasombra. Seeing Thomas's background in violence and desperate need for structure, Father Gabriel bound him—using late-night "private communion" to feed him Vitae and turn him into a loyal ghoul. Now deacon Thomas serves at Fr Gabriel’s premiere enforcer.
