Crimson Orison

jkomg · 2025-07-16

An underground S&M fetish nightclub and goth-electronica venue housed in a converted 1930’s funeral chapel in the rather shady Bordeaux area, it attracts far too many clientele for how little advertising and promotion it gets. The lighting is what could be considered “dreamlike” - velvet-red, black shadows and candlelight flickers. The main performance stage was once a coffin altar for funerals, and the once-velvet confessionals are now fetish booths where nearly anything - with consent - goes. Beneath the club are private dungeon rooms for that extra bit of fun - and rumor has it that there’s doors down there that just don’t open to average people - ever.

[Currently invite only until rumors begin to circulate]

  1. Entrance Vestibule:
Narrow blacked-out glass doors lead into a red-lit coat check where visitors are vetted (ID, consent wristbands, etc.). Large mural of a weeping angel defaced with black wings.
  2. Sanctuary Dance Floor:
Former nave of the chapel — high ceilings, stained glass casting dim blood-red light, sub-bass pulsing. DJ booth built into the old pulpit.
Centerpiece: the Coffin Altar Stage, a blackened slab with silver chains and velvet canopy curtains.
  3. Confessional Fetish Booths (Left & Right Wings):
Rebuilt from original wood confessionals; half-curtained, sound-dampened. Some open-air for voyeur play, others private.
  4. Shadow Bar:
An L-shaped black bar with red neon underlighting. Staff wear mourning garb with silver masks. Menu includes absinthe, blood-themed cocktails, and some “off-menu” items for Kindred or Dreaming patrons.
  5. Choir Loft:
Overlooks the dance floor. Used for voyeurism, live readings, and impromptu performances.

ENCHANTED VERSION:

Main Floor (Glamour-Stained Sanctuary)

  1. 🌙 The Velvet Threshold (Entrance Vestibule)
To mundane eyes: a narrow coat check.
To you: a liminal veil, velvet curtains that breathe as you step through. The weeping angel mural weeps actual thorns, and her wings twitch as if listening. A fae mark burns faintly above the door — a sigil of passage, welcoming only those who mean to be changed.

  1. 🔊 The Nave of Pulse (Dance Floor & Stage)
The nave ripples with sound and color. The coffin-altar is a sacrifice slab now, haloed in writhing dreamlight.
Every beat pulls dreamstuff from the dancers — Glamour hangs in the air like incense, especially when bodies collide. Each step echoes with memory: some patrons dance out forgotten lives, others into new ones. A Boggart-like sound spirit perches atop the DJ booth, weaving the crowd’s energy into something ritualistic.

  1. ⛓️ The Whispering Booths (Confessional Fetish Stalls)
The confessionals flicker between mortal wood and obsidian archways, each a mouth whispering secrets. Some booths seem deeper than they should be — they go inward, not backward. One smells like regret, another like hot breath and sugar roses.
Inside, you can see the Glamour trails of mortals — flickers of old trauma, fetishes unspoken, soul-scars. Some Thallain may feed here unnoticed.

  1. 🥀 The Bar of Mourning (Shadow Bar)
To mortals: a sleek, high-end goth bar.
To you: the bartenders are half-mask spirits, their faces shifting subtly as they pour. Bottles whisper when touched, and some drinks leave stains on the soul. A mirror behind the bar shows your reflection as you might have been, or never were.

5. 🎭 The Loft of Silent Psalms (Choir Loft)
Suspended above the dance floor, this balcony seems to float in the Wyrd. Every footstep here is muffled, like walking on velvet memory. This is where Thistle-Skin sometimes appears first, or where fae nobles hold whispered court while watching the dreaming unfold. You may glimpse phantom musicians playing unheard songs.
