Lady is striking with deep brown skin with a warm bronze undertone, pale grey-green eyes that unsettle anyone who holds her gaze too long, and full lips, always painted black. Her long black hair falls in untamed curls and waves, framing her sharp cheekbones and a tiny thin scar beneath her left eye that she has never explained.
Backstory:
Lady was born Doña Adelaide Soledad de Cerón y Montoya in 1744 Seville the daughter of a minor Afro-Spanish hidalgo and a freed Black woman of fierce intelligence. A wild child caged in noble etiquette, she mastered the art of courtesy not out of love, but survival. When unseen forces destroyed her family and stripped her of everything, Adelaide did not break. She endured humiliations that would have shattered most people, married the architect of her ruin, and dismantled him from the inside with a patience that bordered on both devotion and Sanity. She was Embraced in 1776 by a childe of Lucita de Aragón, who had watched the whole thing unfold and decided that a woman who could smile at a man she was planning to kill for months on end was exactly what Clan Lasombra needed.
She spent over a century moving between conflicts of Spain, France, and Italy before crossing the Atlantic to Chicago, where she remained for more than 130 years. What she did in Europe and what she did in Chicago are subjects she discusses only in fragments. She arrived in Nashville a few months ago, going simply by Lady, and has offered no explanation for why she left Chicago or what she's looking for in Tennessee. She attends Mass. She drives a black 1963 Buick Riviera. She is beautiful and charming. None of these things should be mistaken for safety.
